When Kris and I spent the summer at Mt Hood in 1999, we kind of had to find a new place to stay every week or two. Once and a while we would sleep in the woods when there were no empty beds in Government Camp.

One of the best places we stayed was the K2 snowboard house. They let me test these boots out for the summer and after a few hundred sweaty hours in them they were in no hurry to get them back.

One of the things that I learned that summer was how to break a bottle over my head.. I learned the trick from Jonas Guinn a Canadian snowboarder that I met when we were at the Westbeach Classic in British Columbia..

I'd tell you how but its a lot more fun to see the tough guys crack their skulls trying to show how tough they are.
