Description of Incident: The public prosecutor in Beyoglu (Istanbul) indicted journalist Ahmet Kahraman in connection with an article published in the journal ÷zg¸r G¸ndem on 13 October 2002. Kahraman will be charged under Article 159 TPC with insulting Turkish identity. The trial will commence at the Beyoglu Penal Court of First Instance No.2.
