»Power From Nature«, 2005 by Marjetica Potrč . Installation of self-sustainable technologies (solar panels and a hybrid wind turbine) at the rural community of the Barefoot College in Rajasthan and the Catherine Ferguson Academy, a high school for teenage mothers in Detroit.
“Supergas” by Superflex. In 1997, Superflex installed and tested the first Superflex biogas system. The experiment was carried out at a small farm in central Tanzania, in co-operation with the African organisation SURUDE (Sustainable Rural Development). The plant produces approx. 3 cubic metres of gas per day from the dung from 2-3 cattle. This is enough for a family of 8-10 members for cooking purposes and to run one gas lamp in the evening.

»The Danville Community Encyclopedia« is an audio/visual encyclopedia containing knowledge of Danville, Illinois residents. The content was generated through inviting people to share their knowledge with the artist, and recording their conversations. The word-for-word transcriptions of their contributions of knowledge on a wide variety of topics is what forms the text of the encyclopedia. In addition, many participants chose to create drawings to go with their entry. A hardbound copy along with a listening station, is permanently installed in the Danville Public Library. »Events With Unknown Outcome« shows various objects (beer crates, a blanket, ball and plastic bag) in the park surrounding the last border watchtower still standing since the GDR in Berlin. Sofia Hultén secretly videotaped whatever happened to the objects from the vantage point of the tower.
