Listed in Best places to write in QueensThis is a very tiny cute little coffee house. It's got a strong local community vibe. But again, it's tiny, with like 3-4 small tables. They have free wifi, and admittedly, I was there one afternoon for a good 3-4 hours working on my book, but I don't know if I would make the trip just to write there. If it were just a little bit bigger, with a few more tables, may be. Coffee and tea, not bad.

Between LGA and JFK there is a void - filled by the Van Wyck Expressway -- I had never ventured off it -- and felt like I was missing a neighborhood. As we had a drop at both, it seemed time to see what is between these two airports. Enter Yelp and Sandwich -- and we were rewarded by dropping into Jackson Heights, and meeting a pretty neat neighborhood. Our tour guides were here. So get off the expressway, and check this as a starting point to meet a new neighborhood. Kind of odd post, but this was my take on this adventure.

Please open up a location around where I live- you can call it "Espresso 88". Jackson Heights NEEDS more places like this. The neighborhood is stale and needs some fresh, modern healthy blood. Thank you for bringing a cozy little place to to the neighborhood.

good dependable coffee at reasonable prices. like their baked goods. always clean. and perhaps most of all, I like the location and that it attracts lots of other people who I know from the neighborhood.
the wi-fi debate -- I see most of the reviews are directed at this one way or the other. I don't go there for wi-fi, but glad they instituted a policy as there was a time when nobody could sit since all the tables were taken up by people with laptops and no food or drinks. It's not like starbucks where there are tons of tables, and in case you didn't notice, wi-fi is not free at starbucks!
don't understand why someone would complain that the manager asked her not to put her feet on a empty chair ... I can't recall ever putting my feet up on a chair in a restaurant. -

Listed in Coffeeshops All Over the Cityi'm always pleased to have coffee in this place, from time to time. what attracts me really here, even though i don't live in the area anymore, is the diverse patrons they have for customers. & i'm pleased with how the staff deliver their service, taking note of the fact that they will have one customer who looks different from next one (although, of course, they don't announce it as such---that's just how i observe them when they ask for your order...).

As the only coffee shop in Jackson Heights, this place is a God-send. Bright, upbeat and clean; it's an excellent environment to meet over coffee, use the free wi-fi, or just lounge and read. It's very yuppie-friendly, but attracts customers of diverse ages, races and occupations (from what i can tell).

Away from the hassle and bussle of Roosevelt Ave is Espresso 77. Its like a little get away from New York life. It's just chill and thank you for bringing it here in Queens. I really hate going to in the city for something fun and interesting, when I'm too tired to commute. Sure I live in midst of of Ethnic restaurants but I am young and I want to be in a fun and cute scene, not married, no kids yet. So I better live the best I can. Too bad its so far away. But at least I can live a little here. Their drinks aren't bad at all. The crowd seems more friendly and interesting than some of the ones I have been to in the city.

This is a great little cozy and hip cafe in 'prime' JH. The walls are painted a sunny orange and everything is aesthetically considered- which seems fitting for two architect-owners. Besides the great coffee and baked goods, they also pints of ice cream, coffee beans, Jackson Heights t-shirts and "I heart Queens" products. Artwork by local artists hangs on the wall. They also have live performances, art openings and readings as well. The owners are very friendly and it's easy to meet new people in here.

Why is everyone whining about the limited wifi time? I say good for the owners! Why customers have to sit in a coffee shop for hours at a time on their computer is beyond me. Get a life and surf the web at home! By the way, the place is great, aside from the wifi zombies!

Listed in Jackson HeightsI really, really like this place. They make an excellent latte and the baked goods I've had (chocolate croissant and cherry chocolate scone) are awesome.

This little place used to be fantastic, but as I sit here today the owner has put little lockboxes over all the power outlet's and it is no longer possible to charge your computer while you're having a coffee. I hate to say it, but next time I'll go to Starbucks. If you're reading this review, please join me in boycotting Espresso 77 until the owner gets his head out of his $#%.

The reason for a coffee shop is the coffee and the coffee here is really not good. The other day I ordered the darker roast and it was not at all dark. After I added milk, it barely had any coffee flavor. I live very close to this place and would come all the time if they just had a decent coffee. Please E77, upgrade your coffee. Also, hire people who are friendlier. You will stay in business longer and make more money if you make these 2 simple changes. Otherwise the place is really good. Thanks.

Had my first trip here today and spent about 3 hours studying. I really loved it right from the get go. I ordered the New Orleans style cold-brewed iced coffee. The barista suggested I have it with regular milk and it was a spot-on suggestion. It was perfect! Best iced coffee I've had all summer. I also ordered the espresso brownie which was beautiful, chocolatey and moist. As several reviewers have mentioned, there are a number of customers with young children and that may be a difficult districaction for those of us trying to get some reading done. However, nobody with children stayed more than 15 minutes and the type of parents here seemed to understand it wasn't a place to bring junior an let him cry and whine. It's just too small of a space. So, I wasn't really bothered by the kid scene, I just don't know if Jackso Heights happens to have conscientious and considerate parent types, or if I just got lucky. In any case, I will definitely be back when I'm in the nabe.
