Look, I like the nice convenience stores in Taiwan, Japan, etc. I could live on the food they have there. And when they try something like that in the States, I'm always a little weary and rarely do I go in - I know I'm going to be disappointed.
And I was. No, they don't have have good prepared bento ready for you to pick up and microwave, or tea eggs floating in a rice cooker, or rice triangles. This is kind of like 1/3 East Asian convenience store, 2/3 American convenience store. It's clean, they have some (literally, like a third of the store) Asian-y snacks/drinks - the rest all American stuff, and they have (randomly) some fresh (how fresh?) produce.
So really, three stars.
Why four? The boba, tapioca, bubble tea, however the hell you want to call it. It's good, it's a little like home. It's Jasmine Green Tea (score!), the right type of milk, chewy boba (my preference, none of that nasty stuff that dissolves in your mouth), and the right flavor (you know that taste lollicup has? Yea, not that. That's gross).
And decently priced, $4 for a medium. -

Convenient and fast. We were in to buy bottled water and a pop. It was perfectly cold. We were happy, paid, and left. That's what a convenient store is supposed to be. People are busy, no need to stand in lines. Plenty of staff to help. There was also fresh fruit sold at the front counter and we also grabbed a banana. Exactly what we were looking for. Come here for your sundries while out and about, near Washington Square in NYC.

So convenient. It's what you would expect your deli to be like, but clean and not creepy. They have a great selection of everyday food and stuff that you are missing or craving, they have a cool fridge stuffed with good snacks, they freshly make sushi daily, after 12, buy one get one free, they juice, they have froyo, and they brew coffee. Seriously? What else would you ask for? This store in the middle of nowhere will have all you need.

I come here for sushi at least once a week. One time while I was eating it in-store a middle-aged man walked up to me and asked, rather conspiratorially, like he didn't want the employees to hear: "is the sushi any good?" he siad. "be honest." I'm going to tell you what I told him: I'm not a sushi conoisseur by any means, but it tastes fine to me, I've never felt sick from eating it, and since whenever you buy one pack of sushi you get a second one ($6 or less value) free, it's a great deal.

Listed in Yelp 100 challengeI came in here on Sunday before church to grab some coffee. For $2 you get a large coffee that is actually large.
They have snacks such as yogurt, cookies, chips, and nuts available for sale. -

So i'm writing an update. This time I acually got to to around the store and they have A LOT of things. From instant noodles to frozen meals (that you can microwave there). $1 Large donuts and soft serve. The chips and snack section is amazing. Lot's of snacks and you definitely won't go empty handed (I didn't)
They even have shrimp chips and Yan-Yan!
I went in here to check this out. I get off on West 4th St and this place is right about the entrance/exit of the station. I went in to see what they have and how much they sell them for.
I was surprised on how much of a mark up they do. There are so many items I saw that were over priced. Candy, food, but I do remember one thing that stands out. I needed to get some kleenex, but they didn't have any. I saw that they had Dove Soap and it was $5.99 for a two pack. That's $3.00 a bar. Duane Reade is a few feet away and it is much cheaper.
I myself support small locally owned businesses, but you know when you have to draw the line. Other than the prices the place is pretty nice. It's well maintained and there are a lot of staff working the place. They have coffee and hot tea for $0.99. That's a deal. Read more -

Yelp reviewing is great when you want to procrastinate over doing your taxes. So on my way to Staples to recycle toners, I noticed this clean convenience store called Grab and Go. It seems like the Asian version of 7-11, with an all Asian staff. I inquired whether it was an Asian chain and was informed that is was privately owned by Asians. All the labor was Asian, friendly and efficient. It was heavy on the Asian snacks(think Pocky etc), complete with the requisite coffee and doughnuts. The $1 doughnuts here, for are big enough to satisfy T-Rex. Frozen yogurt is tasty, though the flavors advertised, pomengranate and original, have been replaced by chocolate and vanilla. A good place for a quick stop to get snacks and other staples--milk, yogurt etc.

Appalling customer service. They do not carry a protein drink that I like, but I went there to see if they had another one that I sometimes get. They didn't, so I left and went elsewhere. As I was leaving the second store, a Grab & Go employee approached me on the street and accused me of stealing a product that they don't even carry. Addressing it with the manager did nothing, apparently they do this on a regular basis. Incredibly offensive and I will never come here again.

This is the worst convenience store I've been to in a while. I'm not usually one to write a terrible review but I've just never experienced such terrible customer service. The staff - at least the girl who was by the counter, was completely rude and refused to serve me! Incredible. (And no, I wasn't having a bad day.)
