I love you Yelp but we have to talk. Remember last week when I changed my name here because I got married? Remember when you asked me why I was changing my name, and all the selections available assumed I had been operating under a fake name? You told me that wasn't very "elite"...
Well Yelp, I don't think it's very elite of you to assume foul play when a person changes their name on Yelp. Honestly, it was a little rude. Maybe add another "why are you changing your name?" selection, so future people of Yelp changing their names because the government has literally allowed it, won't feel like sneaky phonies.
We're just married people, not criminals. We deserve to be elite too.
That is all. Otherwise we're cool. -

I just received an email from Kaoru @ Yelp Support. What a joke. They've decided that my remarks concerning my experience with Solar City do not fall within the Yelp's guidelines (what guidelines? There are none judging from what goes on here) and have taken down my 1* reviews. Just because I complained that the Solar City reps. have gone around ringing doorbells in my and my family's neighborhoods doing cold call sales they decided this was bad for Solar City. Really I wonder how much Solar City is paying Yelp to have reviews like mine taken down?! For the record, no one wants some idiot peddling their stupid solar panel and roofing business bothering the occupants and not wanting to take 'No thanks' for an answer. Instead they try to hard sell and pester the residents until they get irritated and slam the door on their faces. I guess that's better.
But the best thing about Kaoru's comments to me tonight is this: "We hope you will continue to participate on Yelp, while keeping in mind our Content Guidelines." Right. You delete my reviews and expect me to want to participate more!
Thus, I truly do feel that the establishment (Providence Care, San Francisco, CA) most likely did not want to be extorted by Yelp and is paying the price by having first-hand, honest 5* reviews not posted whilst allowing negative slander to pass as reviews. Truly business owners ought not to deal with Yelp. Read more
Update (7/10/14): What a coincidence (?) that right after I wrote my original review of Yelp I received an email from their support team on the night of 7/9. But the reply just shocked me. In short, my concern was that I wasn't seeing at least one review that I wrote since May 2014. According to this support person not all reviews will be selected to show up on a business' profile. This was news to me. I was directed to read their FAQ's regarding 'Recommended Reviews' as this is what they refer to reviews showing under a business' profile.
It turns out Yelp states that they use a software to select these recommended reviews, that 80% of selected reviews are posted by established members who have written positive reviews in the past and also selected reviews are 3* reviews and above.
Well, two things were wrong with this. Firstly the business I queried about why my review wasn't showing up on their profile had two recent 1* reviews showing and one of these reviews was posted by a new member as of this month (July 2014) who had only one review written (i.e. the 1* review about the business I reviewed). My review was 4* rated and again I have been a Yelp member since May 2014. Secondly, as stated, these two reviews were 1* rated. Senseless.
So I do not trust Yelp. They are unfair because what is the point of asking the public to write reviews when there is a good likelihood that one's reviews will be discarded or relegated to show up only on one's profile page? It makes no sense at all as it just does harm to the businesses involved. Either their so-called software (I highly doubt software selects our reviews but if so it's totally flawed) will select all or almost all fantastic reviews or the opposite: Highly negative reviews. I know it has been most unfair for that particular business I reviewed. But sadly my 4* review will never be recorded except to my profile. And the two 1* reviews that were accepted will be recorded on their profile forever to malign them.
Therefore, I do not recommend Yelp anymore as a place to post reviews. It's a waste of time.
As to their "Talk" feature, in a past Yelp life I tried it. Like the reviews Yelp admins. allow negativity to flow there. And by this I mean it's a place where they allow members to be abused unabandoned by other members. As to the ratings (moot now with what's going on with this biased site really) again in my past Yelp life I had suggested several times that they ought to have more than 'Helpful', 'Funny', and 'Cool' selections. Because everyone knows that a 'Funny' rating actually means something else to the reviewer. Oftentimes, it means that the reviewer just hates a particular review because it doesn't match that person's opinions. So why not just get rid of the 'Funny' selection and instead have 'Unhelpful'? Or just add more selections! Well, no one listened-and still are not listening-although I've seen others here recently asking why there are no other ratings selections.
And they really could care less how members feel about their 'policies'. I replied to the support person that I didn't agree with their selection process, but not surprisingly no one has bothered to get back to me. Doubtful anyone will this time around...
In short, I don't see much of a future for Yelp. As for the jokers who rated this review as being 'Funny', be sure I think you're also 'Funny' as well. Read more -

Very unsatisfactory. I ordered flowers for my sick daughter, paid for same day delivery on Feb. 5. Flowers were not delivered. Company says they tried, no one home. Daughter says they were there. Called Company Friday, They promised to upgrade order from Standard to Premium since order not delivered, Promised to deliver by maybe Sat. definitley by Sun. guaranteed by Monday. Flowers delivered on Wed. Feb. 18...a "very standard looking cheap small arrangement. " Company agreed to take $15 off their $54 charge....I will NEVER use them again!! Wish I'd never called them. -

Since my original review of Yelp, I have received a message from someone claiming to be "Operations Manager & Yelper Helper". Now I don't doubt that he's an employee of Yelp, in fact, I'm almost 100% certain he is.
I appreciate the fact that Yelp actually cares enough about their users to take the time to address their issues. For this courtesy, I will add a star to my previous rating of 3-stars.
"Then why is my review still 3-stars?", you may be asking yourself?
Well for one thing the kind gentleman who messaged me didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. He pretty much just said, "We understand your frustrations... ". Furthermore, not a single word was mentioned about Yelp wanting to improve their "recommendation software"; only that it is not perfect.
Perfection would be nice, but I'm a reasonable person and realize that perfection is rarely possible. That doesn't mean there isn't any room for improvement.
"What kind of improvements would you expect?", you may ask?
Okay, I'm not the kind of person who complains about something and doesn't offer any possible solutions. I think there are many possible solutions. For now, I'll start with two simple suggestions.
SUGGESTION #1: Disconnect the "recommendation software". Use it only when a review has been "flagged".
SUGGESTION #2: Make the link for the "not currently recommended" reviews more visible (maybe provide a link near the top of the pages as well?) and sort them by date (there are plenty of people who use Yelp but don't write reviews. Many of them don't know about the "not currently recommended" reviews).
I'd like to hear other Yelper's opinions on this matter... so...
ANYONE WHO READS THIS: If you agree with suggestion #1, please click "Useful". If you agree with suggestion #2, please click "Cool". If you think my suggestions are lame or just wouldn't work please click "Funny".
No matter what you choose, or if you choose nothing, you're not going to hurt my feelings. I'm a salesperson. I have very thick skin. Thank you...

1. a short sharp cry, especially of pain or alarm.
"she uttered a yelp as she bumped into a table"
Well, I guess that's kinda what we do... express to the world that we've been pained.
Personally, I have mixed feelings about Yelp. I've been using it since August with only one minor glitch: my very first review was removed. I'm not sure if what I did to remedy this was the right thing to do, but it seemed to have worked. First I added some of my friends via facebook. Then I copied and pasted my deleted review to notepad, deleted my review via my Yelp review page. I changed a few words on my review then pasted it back to Yelp. I now have 15 reviews and none have been removed.
My real problem with Yelp isn't so much with my reviews, rather the reviews for my place of business. There are 12 reviews (some good, some bad... but mostly good) on our page. There are 87 "other reviews that are not currently recommended"! Most of these are good reviews, but Yelp sorts the "non-recommended" reviews, listing the bad ones first.
Of the 9 pages (yes, I said 9 PAGES... almost an entire page for every review allowed) of "non-recommended" reviews, the first 2 pages are bad; the other 7 pages are reviews with 3-stars or more. So, if someone wants to view the non-recommended reviews, they see 2 full pages of bad reviews before the 3-star reviews start showing up.
This didn't really bother me so much until one of my customers wrote a 5-star review and mentioned my name. Two days later it was gone (now it's buried on page 4 or 5 of the non-recommended reviews). The person who wrote the review has written 18 previous reviews, none of which have been deleted. I've had other customers write reviews, but they didn't mention me by name. I waited over a year for this one review, and it disappeared overnight... quite literally. I guess I'll have to wait another year to find out if Yelp will promptly be removing my next review. That really sucks, and I've definitely factored it into my rating of Yelp... as if they really care.
I'd like to think that this problem with Yelp is due to the monopoly they have on reviews - seems to be the only online source for reviews - and not their software/robots that determine whether a review is "recommended" or "non-recommended". If it is because of their monopoly, maybe some day that will change - they sure could use the competition. It sure doesn't seem like they're ready to admit anytime soon that their software/robots need to be improved.
On the bright side of Yelp, since I've been writing reviews I've discovered there's another part of Yelp that most people don't seem to know about: Yelp Talk. Yes, Yelp is also somewhat of a social media and I've made friends with some really good people here. I enjoy reading their reviews and giving them props for them, and vice versa.
I'm gonna stick around for a while, but I'll do everything I can to help Yelp adjust their sails...

I'm torn. If this was a review for Yelp Broward-Palm Beach, a community in which I have been extremely active since it began, this would be five stars. Alas, it is for Yelp's headquarters, which has decided to revoke my Elite status after seven years, without so much as a single word of explanation. So three stars it is... an average between the five stars Yelp BPB deserves and the one star I'd give Yelp HQ.
I've loved Yelp since I first discovered it in 2008. I've talked about it and promoted it relentlessly. At one point last year, I was even a paid brand ambassador of Yelp, which was easy to do because of how much I loved being a member. So why, after SEVEN years, would you take my Elite status away? No explanation given, even to our Community Manager. Why the secrecy? Please, enlighten me as to what I did wrong. I've done nothing but rave about Yelp, and this is how you've repaid me? It's a slap in the face, and after all of that, not a single reason given. It's insulting.
The angry/disappointed/sad part of me wants to abandon Yelp, to delete my reviews and not help this company make any more money off of the content I've provided. But why should I lose MY own writing? No, I won't delete my profile. To do so would mean cutting myself off from the amazing friends I've made, and the community I so love. I'm not going anywhere. I'll still go to events, because I have friends who will bring me. I don't lose anything here except a dinky little graphic on my page. YOU lost a great, FREE ambassador for your brand. That's entirely your mistake, and it's a shame. -

I have no idea how the filter works because it looks like that if you advertise with them, you got to keep your good reviews on! I see other companies that has great reviews as well but it goes straight to the filter. What is up with yelp? Shall we start to wonder that they need money? As a matter fact their shares went down significantly this week. No wonder why!!!

Yelp is a tool and the tool is only as good as the people who use it. If the person who use it is an idiot or a hypocrite, then that person isn't going to have a good time. This goes for both sides, the customers and the owners. We all know that some people are just difficult to please, they like to thump their chest and proclaim "I am a paying customer and therefore, I am right". Not really, sometimes it pays to listen to professionals. On the other hand you have owners who like it when unsubstantiated low rated reviews are hidden, but suddenly can't comprehend that the similar unsubstantiated positive reviews are also hidden.
I first started using yelp when I moved to DC and in search of good authentic Chinese food. I didn't necessarily care about people's opinion of the restaurant since many authentic Chinese restaurants had very bad reviews. What I seek were pictures of the food so I can tell whether the place was serving Americanized Chinese or authentic Chinese. For that purpose, yelp was absolutely valuable.
Like everything you read on the internet, there is a lack of accountability, so you have to take the information with a grain of salt. Who even read stuff on the internet and gullible enough to believe everything? Despite the controversy, yelp has served me well over the years and I have found a few like minded people with taste close to my own and opinions that I value. Nowadays, yelp is the first thing I search when planning a trip to a new city. -

I tried out advertising on Yelp for my small business. We signed a three-month contract and I didn't see much activity. Very few new leads and no appreciable sales compared to the results we get with Google AdWords or Facebook Ads. I tried to cancel by emailing my rep but nobody responded to two separate inquiries. Our ads are still running and our credit card is still being charged with no apparent way to stop it. I am disputing the charges with AmEx. ADVERTISERS STAY AWAY!

1000th review!!
Gee, it's been a long ride, but mostly one that has come naturally at each step of the way. I always love sharing what's what at all the places I visit - as much for myself as it is for others. (Really, in the absence of Yelp, I'd probably still write all these down somewhere.)
Yelp gets a bad rap sometimes, and it's fair to see why it does. The sponsorship system is confusing and the review filtering algorithm can, like all software, seem arbitrary and preferential sometimes. Then there's always the stories of corrupt Elites threatening bad reviews unless they get free stuff, something that makes all of us look bad. If you're a business owner, you can benefit for people who give 5 star reviews because they like 1 specific thing about your place. You can get good Yelp publicity despite being bad and you can get bad Yelp publicity despite trying your best.
But that's life. It's about reading between the lines. The sheer volume of reviews and the size and breadth of the Yelp community around the world is what gives it is credibility. If you see a review that you want to believe, but aren't sure, just read more of that person's reviews. I rarely take a review seriously from a reviewer who proves to have unreasonable opinions when reviewing other places, and never mind adding them as a friend. Just use your head, and you can have the best of both worlds - you see past the BS and self-righteous crap, and are left with only the useful information about the world around you.
And then there's the Elite program. It's been fun for almost 5 full years, and I've followed it from SF to New York (and then Ruggy followed me) and hope one day to continue the party in another great city somewhere in the world. We're treated very well and there isn't a minute that I don't appreciate how good we have it. There's been some community pettiness that I've seen over the years, but overall I've made lasting friendships through Yelp that have, so far, stood the test of time.
It's to the point where I have my job through a SO of a friend I met on Yelp, and 2 former college roommates and 1 ex-coworker ended up working for Yelp. Yelp just has a way of popping up everywhere in my life. And at the risk of sounding like a crazy cult member, I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you! -

Yelp 2010
I came across Yelp about four years ago, when I saw a buddy of mine check in at a store. So I signed up to see what's cracking. I wasn't to sure at first, just using the check in feature and writing some reviews here and there.
Yelp 2011
This year was the same o same o, but this time I got a gym membership so basically all I did was gym check ins. I don't think I wrote one review that year.
Yelp 2012
This year I kicked it up a notch and wrote a few reviews but wasn't to hardcore and was like whatever.
Yelp 2013
To be honest I almost gave up yelping this year, I didn't really do any reviews or nothing spectacular for yelp.
Yelp 2014
Yer Boi VD was reborn just like a Phoenix and evolved into a Super Saiyan *VD* kicking butt and taking names. Always doing Ninja stuff while sipping on a beer and smoking a Newport.
As for me Yelp is fun and I do love having fun. Meeting new friends is the best part of it for me. Reading thier reviews and supporting all my fellow yelpers, I have encountered. I've told this to several yelpers before "Each night I search for Inspiration". So many of you have inspired me to keep writing. I just love reading other people's reviews and compliment them on their reviews, tips and pics.
So don't be angry with me because each night, I look for a yelper or three and take my time reading their reviews. I look at it as if I'm reading a good book to fall asleep.
As for me I write reviews because I want to and not because I have to.That's the same with my pictures and tips.
As I told a yelp friend earlier today, yelp to me is very therapeutic. I feel like I'm in my own world when I'm yelping, not a care in the world. Just the company I'm with and wherever we're at.
So yeah I love YELP and I'll continue to do my part for the Yelp community. Having fun and smiling all the time.
So find me on Yelp talk and let's have some fun.

Listed in 150 Reviews in 2014 Challenge, Yelp This...
My friends, Lindsey S. and Karen F., both decided to dedicate their 100th review here, so I decided to follow in both their footsteps.
Ah Yelp...in the past three and a half months how quickly you have simultaneously become the love of my life and the bane of my existence! I became a member of Yelp in 2010. However, I did not write my first review until April of 2014. Little did I know what was to become of me...
I have always enjoyed food and I have always also enjoyed photographing my food. I would post so much food porn on Facebook that I received several messages from friends requesting me to stop. Did I stop? No way. Why would I? It's my own page and I am entitled to post whatever I please.
But one day in April, that all changed. I met a friend for lunch and wanted to give kudos to the owner of the establishment. What could I do? It was then that I remembered the Yelp app on my phone! It is probably the shortest review I have ever written, but for me it was instant gratification and something different besides just saying the words, "Thank you."
And so it began...
FOOD + FOOD PORN + MY UNSOLICITED OPINION = YELP ADDICT!!!
I am such a creature of habit that I constantly am at the same restaurants day after day. Yelp has encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and start venturing outside of my neighborhood! And...my friends who dine with me know NOT to touch anything until I have taken a picture!
Yes, I love food, but what has been equally important to me is the opportunity to have met fellow Yelpers who share the same passion as I do. I cannot say enough about our Community Manager, Brett! He is always such a joy to be around, is very helpful, and always has a great story to tell.
The Yelp events are a blast to attend! There is always something new to do, or a new restaurant to try. I have been blessed to have met such wonderful people who have welcomed me with open arms to the Yelp Cult...oopsie, I mean Community. Thank you to my new friends who I know our friendships will become even more stronger as we share our mutual love for Yelp.
Yelp has helped me to "make my mark" and leave a footprint wherever I go. It has become near and dear to my heart and I am excited to see what my Yelp future brings.- And this is why I Yelp :DAnd this is why I Yelp :D

Wow another year has gone by and another year of Yelping. I have used Yelp in every capacity I can. I love the App when I am out of town and finding some great hidden gems. I hope my relationship with Yelp will continue for many years. As I am a true Yelp lover.
My favorite activity on Yelp is to read reviews and like pictures in cities I have visited. This little activity has allowed me to make friends all over the world. What fun to read what people are doing in other countries.

BUKKAKE IS GOOD THING!
Girls love it.
KAMA-AGE IS GOOD THING TOO!
Gays love it. ( Okama means "gay" in Japanese.)
Two G's hit the G-spot.
Anyway,
I must say ... this place would be typical standard Udon shop in Japan, but in the J-town SF is different because everywhere else sucks!
Mifune sucks!
Suzu sucks!
Osakaya sucks!
The Bukkake is something you don't see in anywhere at the J-town, even San Francisco.
I got the Ontama-Bukkake Udon. "Ontama-Bukkake" sounds so erotic, for Japanese ear, and will hit my G-spot and it did, ... well.
I was with my friend who is Japo Sushi Chef, this is his first time eating here, and he got Kama-Age-Udon. According to him, Kama-Age-Udon is the best way to see that good-Udon or Bad-Udon, because the Udon is served in a hot water, not broth. He says it is pretty easy to find out this Udon is fresh made or old frozen kind.
This Kamaage Udon comes with Suri-bachi and Suri-kogi (Mortar and Pestle) to grind sesame seeds for your dipping sauce. The fresh grind seeds was nice!
yelp.com/biz_photos/udon…
Kama-Age-Udon:
To eat immediately what was scooped from kettle was boiled noodles, called "Kama-age". A container containing the noodles, and is used by being divided into a vessel containing the soup. In order to put the hot water boiled in the container you put the noodles, it is cloudy little white. Without having to tighten the noodles in the water, with boiled hot water, since transferred to the container from the kettle, to when you eat, and soft wheat flour smell of drifts, to stimulate the olfactory comfortably. Because it does not tighten the noodles in the water, "strained" but not much, crunchy was Udon specific glutinous not tighten the water is characterized.
My Sushi-Chef friend said, "Pass! this is good noodle!"
Bukkake and Kama-Age. His Kama-Age was with Tenpura, he game me few, it was fresh made. That was really good.
That's it.
Everything else is .... just a background noise.
There was an "Asian" young lady was already sitting and having Udon, suddenly called waitress out loud to get attention. I was in the waiting line, and there was a middle age White-guy who was sat next to me said the B word, and said to me, "Well, Bitxx is everywhere no matter where you from." I replied, "So as son of Bitxxes."
We got a good laugh.
Clean, good service, well mannered waitresses.
The waitresses here are so calm against another "Asian" lady who has no manner at all, does not mind showing her emotions. The waitress took care of the "Asian" lady well.
I would like to give all the waitresses 5 stars!
So the service, 5 star
Most the Udon, 5 star
Even though "Bukkake" sounds like "uni cream udon", Their uni cream udon sucked, Disgusting, 1 star (by Cherylynn N. I totally agree.)
Even though "Bukkake" sounds like "Chicken & kinoko cream udon", Their Chicken & kinoko cream udon is Disgusting thing, it's nothing but vomit, 1 star
Decor, very clean, 5 star
Oshi-Sushi and Inari, I think it's unique but oner priced, 3 star
Ten-pura, very fresh made, 5 star.
Overall 4 star!
Very good 4 star!

That tells pretty much everything what's still going on here.
But, I know what you're thinking, punk. You're ... in the world and will blow you stomach clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question. "Do I feel lucky? Well,... do you, punk?
Once again, 78 out of 100.

Social Security Administration.
What a place.
I got to come here because my Social Security Card got stolen a while ago.
Social Security Administration own by our Government.
Man, what a mess.
i think that all of tourist should come here to see what is the real America.
When I was in a line.
This is what I saw.
There was an old lookin' black man who has almost no teeth, about 6 foot height had incredibly smelly-dirty curly long hair with a cowboy hat, black shirt, black baggy jeans and cowboy boots turned around to the front door and said OUT LOUD,
"HEY, BITCH, I'm over here! Getin here, Bitch!"
a caucasian lady out side shouted back to him something.
I don't want to describe how was she looks. Imagine an equivalent.
The black man said loud,
"YouFXXXin'CXXX, Get your Fatass in here NOW, you HEAR ME Bitch?"
The lady shouted something again and tried to go threw the detector and beeped.
She said, "WHATTHEFXXX?"
The black man laughed at her and shouted, " She got a gun!!"
Every one in the room looked at the detector, some one ducked.
The lady was so angry and said, "ShuttheFXXXUPyouMUZAFXXXER, I ain't got a gun!"
..............
there was a bit more things going on and two police officer came VERY SOON and they took both of them away.
I was like, "WHATTHEFXXX?" and thinking at the same time, "I would love to take the whole scene in video!".
I saw 3 people were taken away by police while I was in the line about 3 hours.
While I was in the line, I played to see how many "NORMAL" people in here except the officers.
In the room, about 60 people, 9 am.
It was pretty easy to count "NORMAL' people.
I counted ...6, I realized that you can tell by just lookin' around, normal people wear and act pretty NORMAL!
It is very depressing place.
Maybe the most depressing place in the city.
I was depressing when I was in the traffic court room with MANY of Latino people were driving without driver's license and the insurance.
But, People work here are incredibly PATIENT to any one who needs attention and becoming SO ANNOYED ANXIOUS and some one really gets SO angry.
I would give 5 star for the people work here though, because, who wants the job? Some one gotto do the FXXXin' job.
I don't mind to go back there again.
Funnier than the punchline.

So, Please understand I have had an exceptionally bad experience. While Yelp welcome reviewers to share their experiences and to be as descriptive as possible in those accounts, Yelp asks that they avoid taking their grievances to a personal level.
So, this is my second attempt.
The silicon valley Japanese business woman opened a japo-ramen place sounds exactly the same as a Chinese business man opens Sushi-Bar like.
The chef went to French cooking school making beef broth ramen.
100% Japanese., but do you think the French cooking helps you making better ramen? I don't think so.
Well, if you are really good in French, I think you are still staying in French.
Reason why you are making ramen now may be because your French did not get well? Or, you thought that making ramen is easier than French cooking? Well, guess what? Your ramen is not really good. It was really mediocre.
The beef broth was so bland, lacking strong features or characteristics and therefore uninteresting, unsatisfactory, unacceptable because poor or not good enough.
I am sure that you can NOT open a ramen shop in Japan serving Ramen like this.
Get this,
" I agree with your Chinese sushi list very accurate!
You are right. My husband is Chinese and his family is in the restaurant business when they open Japanese restaurants it is to make money and fool the white people"
By Pinky and the B. Manhattan, NY Send Message.
"When people smell money, that's business, nothing wrong with that, but you need a passion when it comes to making Sushi and Ramen. Don't take Ramen as an easy, quick and fast money making business like KFC."
Ken K said, "I think this place is getting popular now because of the ramen burger...it's a silly concept...pan fried noodles as buns, with meat and veg in between. It should be ramen inside the burger as a layer. Well this is also the Mission, home to Mission Chinese Food (kind of jive ass Chinese food to me from the looks of it, but hipsters love that shit)."
I am so sorry to tell you but Disappointed, Very disappointed.

I'll say this, I don't feel great about being a Yelp Elite member anyway.
what were Yelp THINKING?
What are they thinking *hah*? What are they thinking? They're thinking that it's running out, it's running out and 90% of whats left is in the Middle East. Look at the progression, Versailles, Suez, 1973, Gulf War 1, Gulf War 2. This is a fight to the death. So what are THEY thinking? Great! They're thinking keep playing, keep buying yourself new toys, keep spending $50,000 a night on your hotel room, but don't invest in your infastructure... don't build a real economy. So that when you finally wake up, they will have sucked you dry, and you will have squandered the greatest natural resource in history...

I think Walt Disney's Fantasia is very porn especially female and male centaurs scene.

This is my 1st review:
100% Chinese.
Sticky table for Chinese restaurant is OK, but not really good for Sushi, period.
A Sushi place has Bento-Box is Chinese anyway.
Salad already has thousand islands dressing.
A Sushi place must have all Japanese food for Chinese people who seems know everything, they do so well in math and chemistry but,.... I wonder why they don't understand the concept of eating raw fish. Its not just slice any raw fish.
Its not the fish is old or fresh, that is not a point. Preparing to know and get a fish that safe to eat, that is important. Fresh fish doesn't mean the fish is safe to eat raw.
I don't trust here,
I just don't want to get sick here because it was my treat for my Chinese friend who just had a hip replacement surgery a week ago. And he wanted to come here. I told him that anywhere he wants but he didn't want to go anywhere else.
It was the 1st night out dinner for him since the surgery, so he was excited and he was happy. That is all I wanted. My job was well done.
He is a good friend of mine for 20 years.
I was happy seeing him happy.
That was all matters.
I may come back here with him again.
But I don't care because I don't have to eat Sushi here.
The place has every thing Japanese.
I can have Ton-Katsu and the famous Terry-Yucky-Chicken.

There are many cursed location in the city of San Francisco.
No matter what you do, won't do it, can't make it.
For example:
Mason and Bay, cross the Street from TJ, there is an old sign says GINSBERG'S over 60 years imported beers.
The place has been closed for at least 20 years.
Columbus and Bay, since Tower Records has gone, it became cursed location.
Van Ness and Jackson, cross the Street from Metro United Bank, it used be Ahrens bakery restaurant.
2080 Van Ness and Pacific. I don't know how many restaurant tried to open for business here but soon after, gone no matter what.
5351 Geary Blvd and 18th Avenue, used be Joe's ice cream, the building owner must be so greedy, I am so glad that Joe's ice cream left the location and found cross the Street. Since then, no one can't make it because can't keep up with the rent. It was called Sweet Days, Sweet days? Those days are gone.
1865 Post Street, used be Sun Dance Grill, I don't know what's wrong and what was going on, but it seems like another cursed location.
Sutter and Van Ness
I don't know but i am sure there is more.
cursed:
a solemn utterance intended to invoke a supernatural power to inflict harm or punishment on someone or something
The cursed location is something. Just can not make business going no matter what.
The 993 N point is definitely one of them.
It was once a Chinese restaurant before believe it or not.

I found something.
There is something same between Latino, Russian, Black and Indian lady.
Some of them, they lose their beauty when they got old tremendously.
I wonder why they changes so much by aging.
Asian women are different. When they were already ugly when they were small, they'll be ugly all the way. It means that Asian female never change even they got old. That's my point.
And, Russian Old ladies, What a heavy make-up on!
In the library for crying out loud.
They were seem like having a secret affair or something.
In the library.
Russian Secret Affair?
From Russia with Love.
Nice!
But,
those heavy make-up shinny red lip stick on Russian old ladies were talking out loud on a cell phone for Christ sake!
But the Russian Old ladies who were on the phone, they got GOOD ass kicked by people who works there.
No Phone in the Library Russian Bitches!
And,
there were So Many old Asian men, including my self.
I found that all those old Asian men had a baseball cap on.
Why?
I saw that there was a old man who was taking nap.
At 10:30 AM! Already taking nap!
What a life!
Reason why I was here because free WiFi here.
I have to find a job but the man was talking nap.
It's not fair.
But there was another library worker came nicely behind him, tapped his shoulder and told him, " Wake up! You can't sleep here."
The old man said, " Uh, No, No, I wasn't sleep."
But he went right back to sleep after the library worker left him.
The library worker sneak back to him again and said, " We have 3 strike rule here. If I see you sleep one more time, You may have to leave."
The man said, "No, No, I told you I wasn't."

We all knew he was because Snoring.
Soon after he was dismissed.
The library worker, I could not tell that the person is guy or girl.
But the person was very strict by the library rules.

I don't know anything about gardening.
I am not interested in doing it.
I do care for plants but I don't like to touch them.
I think all plants are moving.
I see them moving.
They are alive!
it is scary the way they bonded with each other.
That's why I don't touch them.
Also,
I don't like my hands and knees on the ground.
I don't like mud.
I don't like my pants and shirts get dirty because I do my laundry.
To me, gardening is boring like watching Golf on TV.
I don't even play Golf.
Golf is for Assholes.
I think the Tiger W. is a jackass.
There is more about Golf, to keep the grass green, they uses Neonicotinoid (insecticide) to kill all bugs. like most big farmer in US.
Neonicotinoid (insecticide) is already killed SO MANY HONEYBEES.
Honeybees is the most important insects especially for human.
I think Golf isn't important thing to do more than save honeybees.
So as gardening.
Gardening is very important thing more than play Golf.
I know it.
Gardening is harmony between mud, seeds, water, sun and human.
It's a great wonderful thing.
There is no Assholes, Jackass and Bitches when it comes to gardening.
I don't know about Bitches.
I know that gardening is really important for human life.
I should love it.
I should do it.

OUTRAGE.
THIS IS OUTRAGE!
Get this.
"ay bit*h dont be taking sh*t about my moms restaurant. better not step into her place again before i fu*k you up. she works hard to run the da*n place and if u dont own a da*n restaurant dont be even talking sh*t if you dont even know wassup about how u run a da*n place. if i see you, you done with. bit*h a*s c*nt."
This is a message from the Mikaku's new owner's daughter to Bee T!
Mikaku has new ower.
see Bee T's original Yelp review.
yelp.com/bi...
If the owner's daughter is really thinking about her mom's restaurant, she should listen carefully to all negative reviews and find out what's going on FIRST instead of fightin' back to their customers.
In the end, the customer is really the most important part of any business.
I got plenty of nasty messages from owners of restaurants that I gave bad reviews but the message to Bee T is the most outrageous, brutal and disgusting.
But Bee T's reviews are not as bad as mine even though I gave 1 star review, mine was decent and not offensive.
Mikaku used to be owned by a good Japanese chef. I was there often. My old review was 4 star.
But the owner has changed. Now under new management.
Who wants to go here getting that kind of message?
I won't.
Would you?
Be aware when reviewing it because you'll get blackmail like that.
The fact is, the place is as bad as the message.
From Ken K.:
"That is just unbelieveable. First you have that kaitzensushi place I reviewed that plagiarized Koo's specialty word for word, picture, description, and now some assclown threatening people over bad review. It's harsh for some people dealing with reality but still that's just fucked up."
Akiko T. said:
"Oh my effing god! I cannot believe such a nasty, hateful, immature letter."
Lisa W. said:
"OoohhhKAY! So that's a NO GO to that joint!"
Andrew C. said:
"that is just so wrong!!"
Euge said,
"wow. thats crazy!"
Kleen F said:
"Why are Toro's photos still on their site when his photos are of the *previous* owner's creations!? It's just not right!"
That's right! The pictures are not new owners food at all.
Steve L. said,
"Definitely an immature response from the owner's kid. Did more harm than good. I'll remember this place for sure."
Lolia S. said,
"That kid is an idiot...all businesses need to be able to handle some criticism and his response is just retarded!"
Arissa C. said:
"Horrid and Rude = out of business!"
I agree with all above.

KC is despondent that Yelp accidentally forgot to give him his Yelp Elite '15 badge. All year, KC has worked at writing useful reviews, complimenting Yelp broads on their cans, and being an excellent steward in the LA black community.
Can somebody tell KC where his badge is? For now KC just has Whitney's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" on replay. It helps in times of heartache.

Update! This is like a hunger… KC has tried to close his account 9 times. Let him go, you fucktards.
Update! This is like a hunger strike. Your leader has tapped the close KC's account button 9 times now. Each time, Yelptarded says, "Sorry to see KC go. Go to your email for verification..." Crickets. And, no, it ain't in KC's junk file. Send KC his verification to self detonate!!
One more day of this crap and KC is gonna start posting cock pics.

KC is a real person that writes real reviews. For each of his 600 reviews, KC has left it… Dear Yelp,
KC is a real person that writes real reviews. For each of his 600 reviews, KC has left it all on the keyboard...kinda like the way Bruce Jenner left it all on the Olympic stage when he brought home gold in the '76 Summer Games.
And what did Jenner get for all of his effort? He got to be a Kardashian. Yet, KC pours his blood, sweat and tears on the the Yelp stage for the great people of the USA and what does he get? That's right. Nothing.
In 2009, KC was Elite. But since then, KC has been shut out! How is KC not Elite '12? KC is deeply offended and, therefore, has these demands:
1.) KC will receive his Elite '10 badge. After all, in 2010 KC wrote breathtaking pieces on the douchery at Javier's and Sharkeez that year.
2.) KC will receive his Elite '11 badge. It was just last year that KC exposed a miserly McDonald's franchise for hosing KC with only a small smear of tartar sauce on his filet-o-fish.
3.) KC will receive his Elite '12 badge. Perhaps he is too handsome to be Elite '12? If KC isn't granted his '12 badge, he will sue for your handsomist treatment of KC. Just because handsome people are adored and don't have to wait in lines at the clizzub, doesn't mean we don't have rights and feelings, dammit.
4.) KC requires an apology from the community managers of Orange County, LA and another area of Yelp's choosing for snubbing KC three years in a row.
Please meet KC's demands by midnight December 12, 2012 or KC will let the dogs out....and he isn't talkin' about wearing flip flops. By the way, how awesome are OluKai flip flops? So comfy and stylish, yes?
Surely we can both admit that Yelp is wrong and KC is outstanding. After all, Bruce Jenner got to be a Kardashian. Shouldn't KC get something too?
Sincerely,
KC of Coastal Orange County Read more -

*****************************MARTIN (MARTY) M***************************
yelp.com/user_details?us…
I thank each & every one of you:
My Yelp friends, people here on Yelp, Yelpers who have in person many times, Yelpers who in PMS, compliments and ALL of you for you prayers, ways of your faith, ways that you send your healing & positive energies out to the universe, via anyway in which you worship and do over the last 4 months for these for Marty as he began with a colonoscopy that found a mass for an Anal Cancer diagnosis stage 3 for the second time in 3 years.
He completed 7 weeks of intense targeted radiation 5 days a week, refused chemo because CHEMO kills and, he & I chose this as my recommendation from me as a PA-C & his primary MD concurred that this Squamous cell carcinoma responds well to radiation.
Marty is with me now, and will be here another week, he is recovering well, made the drive up with minor incidents, is still recovering from the side effects of his treatments, but, he will & has prevailed.
WE will know more in January when after 3 months post op treatment. 3 tests will determine if the thy got it all, but more so, WE are targeting what his cancer was, and that, was stress, every cancer's symptoms are different, diet, stress, genetics, DNA, but the point is, Marty has made major changes to his diet, continues the Juice Plus and has me & a great team of medical professionals.
Also, he has difficulty typing, with neuropathy in his hands that is a side effect of other meds and, his radiation.
So, again to all of you Marty sends his love, friendship, thanks and most of all gratitude, because without ALL of you, he truly feels that he would not have made it through this, and even though the real truth is yet to come, we do not believe or are concerned about whether any MD believes, what matters is, that WE believe.
And, you love Marty & I so unconditionally, even some who do not know or have not met us, you too, have shown us true love, friendship & compassion regardless of you belief systems & ideologies.
Marty will in time get back to you and express his thanks personally, but on his behalf now, I send them for him from US, right here, right now and this is meant for all of you, may all of what you gave come back to you 10 fold.
See, life ain't a 4 leaf Clover, but think it over, because you ALL are this of ours that hold the key, and our hearts have taken a picture-WE LOVE YOU:

I received a PM… *************************************CHAD A.**************************************
I received a PM from Katie S. at 2 P.M., for those of you here on Yelp that were Chad A's friends, acquaintances or knew of him on Yelp, Chad A yelp.com/user_details?us… died early Thursday morning 01/16/14 in Portland OR in hospice care.
Fia R. obtained information from Chad's Facebook page where his Aunt had posted that another tumor (his 3rd) was found in a scan after chronic painful headaches; the tumor was inoperable, he chose not to endure chemo, & died while in hospice care within 2 weeks.
His Mom was by his side until his death.
My Pal, 5'-7" & 37 years of age was to me, Short & Sweet!
I began to pen a review last night, and then I became lost, lost to a point that I needed to sleep on my words, thoughts, memories and most of all, how I felt about my friend, my friend of whom I had not seen or spoken to in many a month, perhaps a year, I'm not sure.
I wanted to share the attributes of Chad, OUR times together and his qualities that made him the man he was and will always be for MP.
Here on Yelp, we co-hosted 2 UYES, (on his homepage, Carolina's-on mine, Algeria's)-tap past events for details.
OUR friendship began after meeting at a Yelp Elite event (and went far beyond Yelp), started with trust, which induced, growth, that in a beautiful way, demonstrated integrity, which in the beginning bloomed into a relationship & friendship that became special, which continued to bloom and lasts until our sense of purpose like a flower that blooms is complete, which then makes room for another individual to carry to task their sense of purpose in a lifetime to maintain a legacy of admiration & memories that last, a lifetime:
msnvideo.msn.com/?channe…
Then, what came to mind was, to tell people on Yelp about my friend; not how I felt he was perceived, what I thought he was, to defend or to admire him in words, but more of what I found as a result of being Chad's friend, the way MP felt yes, about being Chad's friend.
Let me be very clear, Chad like ALL of us, had his peccadilloes-who doesn't-MY photo should be next to the word in the dictionary!
I had the pleasure of being friends with a man who sometimes was physically, emotionally, mentally & financially in pain, yet at the same time was everything to me & more.
Chad never complained, except when he would say, "Michael, do you remember when you told me the more you talk about what's bothering you, no matter how many times you do so, even to the point that people get sick of hearing it, speaking of those things takes the power out of them?" 'Well, that's what I'm going to do right now, are you ready?"
I'd respond (as always), "Yes, go ahead, let me listen, so I may comfort you, reassure you & most of all, not judge you."
Chad, you were so many things, those things I speak of here are positive, my memories of our friendship & our times together are [Those] many things, for those things, Chad I'm truly grateful and for that, I thank you!
Many had said, "If you saw Chad A at Yelp Event, MP was not far away & visa versa.
WE respected each other & each other's genres, we were not lovers or boyfriends, but good friends, close friends, the type of friends, by today's jargon, BRO-Friends.
Chad, you were loyal, had a great sense of humor, charming, cordial, accepting, tolerant, witty, affectionate, charismatic, playful, talented, comforting, decent, had a hell of a time holding you liquor, comical, unpredictable, trusting, capable, intelligent, resourceful, resilient, generous & giving to name a few of the 1,000+ more I could add, I could increase this list Ad Infinitum.
You [could] be at times, aloof, erratic, quirky and complex, yet at the same time, you shared unconditionally with me & perfect strangers."
Once you gave me (not loaned) money and told me that you didn't want it back, the money was a gift, & that I told you many times "Keeping score in a friendship is not a friendship."
After my emergency appendectomy 05/11/12, the MRSA I contacted in the hospital, you came by, brought me food, called to make sure I was well; when I had my total hip replacement 09/12/12, came by & made me walk & called often.
When my dad died in January 2011, you called me daily to listen & comfort me through my tears as I grieved.
You introduced me to this song, saying it was a song that you would remember me by if I died before you; ironically, I play BOTH in your honor Chad:

Yelp, where have you been all my life? Okay, maybe 3/4 of my life...is it even relevant? To me the rain gage sometimes lies a lot about the amount I see falling.
A great reference tool for just about everything, a plethora of events, UYES, CMYES, Elite Events that rock and of course real people, many who have made my life much happier (you all know who you are).
Good Bye Energy Vampires and Borderline Personality Disorders, Narcissists, Alturistic Losers and hello acquaintances, friendships (that will last a life time) and good times that will be everlasting pleasant memories.
This past visit up to see my family, seeing my father succumbing to Pulmonary Fibrosis, the proactive things each member of the family is doing to assist and the joy my dad gets from reading my reviews (the pics esp.) and all of you Yelpers reviews, I find that Yelp transcends the barbed wired fences that are the mainstream.
I had no idea I would find people offering friendship, comfort, support and compassion in a venue with so many advantageous options of relief I thought would be limited.
And, who new that clicking my heals together and saying "there's is no place like home" would bring comfort and pride to a man in the midst of his final days.
I know now like in the Wizard of OZ that some of the best things are right in your own back yard. Those things are ALL of you who are in orbit around my planet that has Yelp as the tail of the comet.

The New Mafia. . They bury my best reviews. I can't prove it, but it all seems to be about the fact that I won't set up advertising with them. Businesses that have great customer service and great web reviews in other places, will do just fine without Yelp!
I encourage everyone else who knows about the aforementioned facts, to reach out and make Yelp yell HELP! -

Yelp is a powerful tool for sharing your experiences with local businesses and attractions and is obviously a useful site since you're on it reading this right now, assuming you're not just bored. With that being said it is completely unacceptable for this site to hide reviews that are "not currently recommended" since if it wasn't for outspoken users who post their thoughts here they wouldn't have any free content to cash in on through their ads and other revenue streams.
As a community we don't spend our time writing reviews so a piece of "software" can hide them; we write them so we can express our opinions, whatever they may be, about any destination we please. It is extremely disheartening to post a thoughtful and well-written review just so it can be hidden via a payment and while Yelp is more concerned about appeasing businesses and profits than their users they need to remember that this isn't the only site you can post a review on. -

Horrible business. Dishonest people. Extorting small businesses. If you pay for advertisements, $500 a month, Yelp will hide the negative/low reviews. If not, your small business is subjected to filtering most positive reviews. They are the common day mafia; Knocking on small business doors threatening that if they won't pay they won't be protected. Why not advertise the legitimate way like most publishers? Why sabotage small businesses while you could be sitting on billions?

Yelp is no help for me. I have been contacting them about a person harassing me and my business for 3 months now. I have blocked them from my personal account but they continue to update their fake review and leave tips. They even admitted to not using my business and yelp wont remove the reviews or tips. This person also contacts my clients who have left reviews and leaves them nasty messages, and yelp refuses to help.
When I tried to contact the person they got very nasty with me and basically laughed at me for asking to stop.
I have flagged, emailed and I even called and talked to someone on the phone today.
I feel I will have to contact a lawyer about this person harassing me. All I want for them to do is block her so she leaves me and my business alone. -

YELP SUPPORT UNLICENSED BUSINESSES!! I am in the moving/storage business in Los Angeles CA. Over the past few years I have noticed a 10 fold increase in the amount of moving companies on Yelp. Dig deeper and you find that 1 moving company has up to 100 yelp pages (See ABC Movers among others). Me, being a more ethical business man have not keep up with the opening of multiple entities and now find myself dropping to the bottom of searches because yelp will open as many listings as long as they are taking money from people.
Yelp needs to check out businesses credentials and licensing information so that businesses and consumers are better protected from shady companies skewing the system in their favor. And yelp needs to stop being so greedy! -

What I feel began as a great tool in helping consumers find quality businesses that for their needs, has become a website that I can no longer take seriously.
Many reviews I come upon are written by an individual butwho simply wants to hurt a business or individual and sadly, yelp makes this easy to do. I have no problem with a dissatisfied consumer sharing their experience, after all, you can't improve when you don't know what needs to be improved upon. Customer feedback is invaluable.
I'm far more bothered by yelps attempt to strong arm business owners. While yelp claims they have NO control over which reviews are filtered this is very much NOT true. I've known several small business owners who have declined to pay for and take control of their business page, which they didn't add to the website to begin with, ( this was done by a customer who wanted to share their positive experience.
When you say "No thank you.' to yelp, overnight ALL your 5-star reviews have been hidden.
Hmmm, and they have no control over this? The integrity of this site and service is void. -
Listed in Yelp Updates 2013!
Okay, so where was I before I was so rudely interrupted?
Since I wrote my recent update on Yelp!, I received a couple of nasty messages from a couple of disgruntled folks who opened Yelp accounts just to criticize Yelp! I sure as heck did not appreciate these people's comments at all. One of them criticizing my yelping and another one calling me names because of my Yelp! review. Not cool people! One is entitled to their opinion and if people cannot say anything nice, do not say anything at all.
I did flag and reported these offenders to the Yelp! moderators. And should I continue to receive any more offensive messages of these sorts of any kind, I will flag the conversation and block/report the sender.
And I hope Yelp! will close these offenders' accounts as they are surely violating content guidelines and terms of service.
Be forewarned and warned! Whatever!

First up is Yelp! Wow! Cor! Ten Years of Yelp! Really?! Congratulations on ten years!
Congratulations Big Papa aka Jeremy S.! It all started with you (and Russel S.) seeking a doctor. And the rest as they say is history! Well done! Next time I see you in the Streets of San Francisco, I will say "Hey!" to you!
Did you all know that Weird Al Yankovic even gives Yelp! a shoutout in "Tacky" (his take/parody on Pharrell Williams's "Happy")? Now that is a badge of honor and a major milestone when mentioned in a Weird Al Yankovic music parody. Way to go Yelp! Check out the music video at about 1:30 featuring Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet lip synchronizing the lyric Yelp! Is mentioned in:
youtube.com/watch?v=zq7E…
You have definitely arrived big time for sure Yelp! when Weird Al Yankovic acknowledges you in a song parody. I would not be surprised if Yelp! is the subject of one of his song parodies in the not so far off distant future (just sayin').
I see Yelp! has made one improvement in its app since a reviewer can draft, edit, or write a review. And that is writing and sending messages privately right away instead of going on to the Yelp! website. I quite like that feature much better than using the compliments as a way of sending messages. I have received some messages via compliments that should have been sent as a message. Though much to my chagrin, some people still use the compliments feature as a medium to send messages. Just a word of caution: Be careful of what you write to your recipient because s/he can post it arbitrarily for all the world to see if you are going to use the compliments feature. (Again, I'm just sayin'.)
It's a Yelp! world! We just live in it! And on that note--
Here's to another ten and to many more Yelp! Cheers and Ciao for now! Read more
My first Yelp! review was with a rather unpleasant experience at an employment agency with a woman who assumed because of one of my mixed heritages, she had the gall to say to me to be on time on job assignments. If anything, I was insulted and shocked that she would say such a thing to me. I arrived 15-20 minutes early in anticipation of filling out the paperwork and she was the one who kept me waiting more than 15 minutes past the appointed time. I was pleased as heck to have a method to share my rather unpleasant experience about the business she used to represent as well as her unprofessional attitude and conduct towards me.
Moving right along . . . along with sharing pleasant and unpleasant experiences with many business establishments, I have found Yelp! to be a great resource to review for places to eat, look, shop, and visit. (And if it is worth the time and and investment of money! ) The Family and The Friends use Yelp! to decide whether or not to they should or should not do business with or eat at a restaurant they have never been to before.
Much to my surprise, I have gotten some feedback for my reviews from either business owners and/or managers. One cafe owner treated me to an item of my choice for my review. I was very surprised a couple of times to get messages from either the owner or a manager expressing their thanks for my feedback.
I have made many friends and acquaintances on Yelp! Many of them I hope to meet face-to-face one day. In the meantime, we keep in touch on Yelp. And share ideas about what films and art exhibitions to see and/or research as well as dining establishments to bookmark, check-out, and yelp about.
On 11/11/11, I joined the Yelp Elite Squad! An unexpected surprise, honor, and the ultimate compliment of reviewing on Yelp! It was not my principal goal of joining Yelp! I just wanted to Yelp!
On March 12, 2013, I got a ROTD--Review Of The Day. I did not know my third deYoung Museum update was ROTD when I was getting congratulatory compliments. I was waiting for a class to begin when I got the news. Wow! That was an unexpected surprise!
I have been reading some of the tips and the talk threads about how does one get to be Yelp! Elite. How are they selected? Here it is on Yelp! itself: yelp.com/tos/elite_en_us…
Just my opinion, that should not be the primary goal and reason to join Yelp! It was not my goal as a means to an end. I just wanted to review and voice my opinion in order to share my experience so a person/persons could think critically in making their decisions whether or not to eat at a restaurant, see a theatre musical/play, go to the cinema, art exhibition at a museum, or do business at an establishment.
My getting Elite status and ROTD were icings and frosted roses on the cake!
Here is my unsolicited advice on how to (paraphrasing the famous book title) gain friends and hobnob with the cool people on Yelp! A Yelp! profile with a picture. One's profile does not need to say too much, just say enough to give an idea of who one is as a person.
Good grammar, spelling and writing skills in writing reviews. As many instructors, professors, and scholars--and even my parents--have advised me, these skills communicate and represent who you are as a person in the written context.
When writing reviews: Details! Details! Details! Write more, review often! Participate on Yelp!: "Like" and do check-ins, rate reviews as "Useful, Funny, and/or Cool," give compliments, tips, post photos, comment, and utilize all the other useful features on Yelp! (I would advise caution on Yelp! Talk though. Too much arguing and flaming for my tastes on Yelp! Talk.)
Just my opinion, I think much more importance is placed on written reviews and how good they are in the determination of who is awarded Yelp! Elite status and ROTD. Pictures and tips are a bonus and are helpful. If one has not reviewed consistently enough, getting Elite the following year is pretty slim.
Much of this criteria has been mentioned in other reviews on Yelp! And I'll say it again, and I'll say it again: Follow the guidelines on Yelp!

Now I know how Jennifer Lawrence felt when she won the Academy Award/Oscar Best Actress honour for her work in SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK before and after she tripped on her way to the stage to accept the award. One word comes to mind: OVERWHELMED.
So hear is my version of the acceptance speech inspired by Ms. Lawrence which I already posted as a Yelp tip minus the blue language:
"I would like to thank the Yelp Academy for this honor! What a grand surprise! Thank You, Merci, Gratzie, Arigato, Danke to everybody who read and sent compliments and messages! I accept and thank you for the ROTD. Thank You, Cheers and Ciao!"
I would like to thank Yelp Ambassadors Jessica, Ruggy, Nique, and Big Papa for their kindness and understanding towards me.
I would like to give a shoutout to Yelpers Jason A., Limzer L., Gigi M., Sergio G., Belle B., Rob A., Dave F., Jennifer C.P., Dale N., Andrea B., Cherylynn N., John M., Ron M., Ann S., and Angelica R. for the compliments.
I highly recommend visiting the deYoung Museum!
Till my next update. Thank you. Cheers!

This morning, I got an email from Holly at the Yelp HQ that my review was removed:
"Hi there,
We're writing to let you know that we've removed your review of Chilly D's Sports Lounge. Though we understand this business has recently received media attention and that users may want to share their opinions, we hope you'll understand that Yelp reviews are not the place for matters outside of your own consumer experience. Our Content Guidelines (yelp.com/guidelines) make clear that reviews should focus on an actual customer experience, and we think this is an important requirement for keeping Yelp a useful site for consumer reviews.
Due to our guidelines, please note that we will not be accepting further postings from you for this listing.
Thanks for your understanding and for keeping our guidelines in mind as you continue to participate on Yelp.

Thank you, Holly and yelp, for not insulting my intelligence, for being aware of the media attention/situation, and for your understanding."
Point well taken. I did go back and see that the other reviews/opinions regarding the situation of Chilly Ds were removed as well. There are now only three reviews. And one of the compliments I received from a fellow yelper was taken down as well.

How did I discover Yelp!? Long story short, when the first national tour company, (Sherry Company) of Jersey Boys launched in San Francisco in 2006, one of the wives of the cast members was sharing her finds on where to shop, eat, drink, look good, workout, and just to chill on Yelp! while traveling on the road telling the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons with her husband.
So thanks to this actor's wife, that is how I found Yelp! and became a member. I wanted to share my opinion as well on what I really like, like, and uh-oh in my day-to day living and living life! I love to Yelp! What a thrill it was and still is to have my reviews to be rated as "Useful, Funny," and/or "Cool."
As an aspiring HER-storian aspiring for a higher educational degree, I have quite a HER-story with the San Francisco Bay Area and the world, as well as life experience. I do research and write reviews about places where I eat, shop, workout, walk Dolce, and clean-up (hair, nails, the works). I know the history and backstory of many of the places I do business with.
Speaking of history, Yelp! started right here in San Francisco by the man himself, Big Papa! Check the "About" section from the source itself right here on this website about the Yelp! history!
Compliments! Nothing like compliments and getting my first compliment! My first compliment courtesy of Jessica T. (one of the Yelp! ambassadors)! Nothing like getting a first compliment from a Yelp! Ambassador! And from Ruggy J. , SF Community Manager! (And another Yelp! ambassador!) I even heard from Big Papa himself in my message box! Sweet! Sweet! Sweet! And I have gotten compliments from my fellow yelpers on my reviews and quick tips!
I am so into Yelp! that I have the Yelp! apps on my iPhone and my iPad2 when I am mobile. Nothing like being the Duchess of (at this writing) 25 Dukedoms! And being a regular of (at this writing) 56 places (and growing!) thanks to my iPhone app!
What I really like about Yelp! is that it is three or more social networks in one: writing reviews, making friends, doing check-ins, sharing quick tips, and earning badges! Who needs all those other social networks when you have Yelp!? I am on leave from the other social networks except Yelp! because I am still a student and I really have to keep up with my studies! Yelp! is the only one I will make time for and in-between hitting the books!
As I said in my first review, my favourite part of Yelp! are the profiles of many of the reviewers. They are so cute with how they describe themselves as well as how they write the reviews themselves. Their personalities shine and come through on their profiles and reviews.
After being a member for three years, I had the honour of being a member of the Yelp! Elite Squad on 11/11/11! That will always be always be a special day for me! I hope someday to get to a Yelp! event when I am not so busy with my studies! They seem like a lot of fun!
And today, I am now a member of the Class of Yelp! Elite Squad 2012! It's so great to be Yelp! Elite! Whoohoo! Yeeeeeeess! Thank you Big Papa and Ruggy!

Yelp! Oh my god, I wish I had discovered this website from the beginning! I love this website! I could have been spared the loss of time and money if I had read the Yelp! reviews first of the businesses before wasting my time and money!

In response to the "good" people at yelp removing one of my honest and good hearted reviews.
What a travesty! Whether the people at yelp target my reviews for their "innapropriate content" or because of my ethnicity, they are evidently profiling me. Expect to hear from my lawyers regardless. Like when Martin Luther King Jr freed the slaves, I will triumph over the hipsters employed at Yelp. In light of recent events, free speach has never been so important. Time to show these fascists the legal repracussions of silencing an American citizen! Removing my poetic review was not just mean, it was unconstitutional and anti-American.

Listed in Total reviews for 2014When my best friend and I were in San Fran as part of our holiday a few years ago I hooked up with some Yelpers and did some events. I the San Fran yelp community and what they were aiming for with this whole Yelp site. The Yelpers here are more hard core than home, however, left with a sense of some inspiration. I also want to thank them for their support on a review I did for an eatery in San Fran that scammed my best friend and I.
Every time we are in San Fran my best friend and I have been welcomed by the warmest of Yelpers who have joined us at meets etc. I try and make it a habit that whenever I am in a city to hook up with some Yelpers. -
Yelp oh my Dear, Sweet Yelp... how can I put into words the way you have changed my life.
Because of you I have found a creative outlet.. creativity I didn't even know I had. I've watched my writing evolve into something slightly better than an 8th grader could muster and as a 20-something year old professional I am pretty proud of that new found skill.
You have opened up a world of Yelp Elite, meeting new friends, trying new hot spots and new foods.
Even my food-photography skills have become a little more sharp, though only slightly, photography was never really my thing, but I DO take 10 extra seconds to get the lighting, angle and matter correct.
Oh Yelp, what would I do without you?
Thanks for all your hard work on the Back End of things.
You Rock. -

hey, I got a letter from Yurika at Yelp telling me I can't post a review of a hotel that my friend stayed at. BS! I was with my friend at the hotel and I could see the nasty condition the hotel was in and I was with her when she tried to get a refund. How is this second hand?? I am pissed off! Reinstate my review for the Dixie Hotel in Hollywood!!

Your another sell-out that completely contradicted the pure essence of a review website. I just saw a business go from 1 star to 3 stars overnight after having 21 of 23 1 star reviews get filtered. Mind you they have 31 reviews total. Its safe to say their business is not the greatest. I'm sure they purchased a bunch of ads for that to happen. A business's rating is only as good as its money. Like this post means anything. Your laughing all the way to the bank. The best part is all these mindless robots who sit and defend the software and what's happening, thinking they can change it by becoming "elite" or any other B.S. For all you robots out there. Simply research "Yelp manipulate". That's all you will have to type before a handful of options pop up to read. Amazing if this post "makes the cut".

Yelp is the worst rating system ever. I constantly see Yelp make arbitrary decisions in which reviews to keep and which to throw out. I don't understand why some of my reviews are accepted for businesses and sometimes they are not recommended. What is the difference? And then, they never provide a live person to talk to about this? I suspect this gives a skewed view of the businesses. In one example, there is a business I love where Yelp only allows negative reviews. There are over 10 positive reviews that are not being allowed. Why does this happen? No one knows. The whole system sucks. I prefer other systems that allow all reviews, even if some might be suspect. At least it's complete without an arbitrary system of judgment.
I hate Yelp. If I could give them 0 stars, I absolutely would. -

Yelp has no decency
You got to be kidding me. What is wrong with you. The word fuck is not colorful it is vulgaity
You folks have no decency.
I asked them to remove a review. they said no because it was colorfull
The review clearly says FUCK.
" They suck! I called them looking for silver, a lady was going to check their inventory and call me back. She never returned my call, so I called them back. Got some guy who said their inventory was low then he hung up on me. Rude people, worthless gold and silver dealer. I'll be continuing my business through cni in california. Thought I was going to keep my business on maui, but fuck these guys." -

Thanks to the San Francisco Chronicle and Grub Street, I have quite a few new friends and fans. Welcome. Thanks for the support and kind words.
Apologies in advance for going on and on (and on) about my love for San Francisco, healthy eating, parfaits, Above & Beyond, tailoring, dance music, hummus, my grandparents, ice cream, Yelp, Dolores Park, caramelized anything, egg whites, french toast, Ibiza, ketchup and house veggie burgers. You'll get used to it.
Correcting a small error in the Chron article: I do in fact cook. Few times a week. Tried making granola once. Dig Trader Joe's tofu (though that's more warming than cooking). And my ice cream sundaes are arguably the best in the world. Epic in fact. Yes, as Grub Street said in the photo caption, I do like using that word.
So with the rather flattering local press it felt appropriate to write a new Yelp yelp. This wouldn't be happening without those fine folks and you all for making Yelp such a success. Hope you enjoy following my adventures and perhaps along the way find a few new favorite spots to eat in our rather fine and delicious city.
Eat well, keep things epic and SYOY!

It's been three years and seven months since my very first Yelp (well hello there Spork yelp.com/biz/spork-san-f…). It's only been a year and a half since my 1000th yelp. Time flies when you're having fun yelping your way through our very, very fine city (and sometimes the world).

- 216 Friends (hi!)

It has been and continues to be a blast Yelp. Together we've shared epic meals with epic friends and often before or after epic nights dancing. We're usually enjoying ourselves (73% of my yelps are 4 or 5 stars) and we're usually close to home (55% in SoMa and the Mission, with 99% being in San Francisco). Farthest Yelp? Berlin.
And as I'm often asked, why Yelp?
It's one important way I express myself. Some people write books. Some play instruments. Some draw. Some dance (well, I do that too). Some write songs. Each of us expresses ourselves creatively in one form or fashion, and spending a few minutes contributing to the vibrant community that is Yelp is one way I do it.
I also like to share and help. Let's be real, I'm a little unique. I bet I've used words like "healthy" and "egg whites" and "parfait" more than any other yelper. You should count on me for an unbiased opinion of how healthy things are wherever I go. Some people want that advice.
And I'm an optimist. Too much negatively in the world. Some yelpers can't be pleased. Me? I don't really like to cook. So if you're nice, smile, charge me a fair price and feed me something good, chances are you'll get a positive yelp. As you should. Most people want to do the right thing.
Lastly, I want to remember. This is an amazing city. With amazing people. And amazing experiences. Yelp is kind of my diary as I attempt to sample as many places as I can. Some things I don't ever want to forget.
Thanks for reading, whether it's 1 or 1,000 of you. This continues to be a pleasure, and I fully expect to see you again at Y3K. Until then, don't stop smiling, don't stop dancing (physically or mentally) and don't stop taking full advantage of everything San Francisco (and beyond) has to offer. Life too short to settle for the same old same old. And make sure you yelp about it. You know I will. Read more
I've yelped restaurants, bars, clubs, Muni, grocery stores, parks, museums, movie theaters, neighborhoods, clothing stores, services - you name it. I've written novel long reviews and one sentence quips. I've learned more about my friends who are fellow yelpers, made some new friends and even dated someone who liked what I had to say (at least she did for a little while).
Looking at my stats, a few things stand out:
- I'm a generous yelper. Roughly 75% of my reviews are four or five stars. But I explain that as part of my glass half full approach to life - give me good service, or grant some crazy request to make the dish healthier, and you are good in my book. There is little a smile, egg whites and ice cream can't solve.
- I stay true to my hood - 55% my reviews originated in the Mission or Soma, and 97% were in San Francisco.
- 586 of you found me useful, 278 funny, and 468 cool. Yelps you really liked:
Monk's Kettle (yelp.com/biz/the-monks-k…)
Cefiore (yelp.com/biz/cefiore-san…)
Chino's (yelp.com/biz/chinos-taqu…)
Pop's (yelp.com/biz/pops-sandwi…)
Vessel (yelp.com/biz/vessel-san-…)
Ruby Skye (yelp.com/biz/ruby-skye-s…)
Mission Pool (yelp.com/biz/mission-poo…)
San Francisco Tailors (yelp.com/biz/san-francis…)
Kasa (yelp.com/biz/kasa-indian…)

- I yelp a lot about french toast, burritos, froyo and parfaits.
- I often reread my yelps and make spelling and grammar corrections.
- I've gotten quite a few "you're cool" and "hot stuff" compliments. I like you too.
- I've never yelped a place that hasn't opened yet.
- If I could yelp people, my grandparents, Obama and Tiesto would be the first to get five stars.
- I've written 53 firsts, and my favorite remains Constansos (yelp.com/biz/constansos-…) in the Bayview. You are missing out on the best sandwich ever.
But at the end of the day, this is about Yelp, and why it might be the most five star worthy idea ever. I can't think of another forum where anyone - me, you, the crazy person on the 22 - has the power to change things. To give credit where credit is due. Criticize where criticism is justified. To share and improve the experience of your fellow neighbor. My favorite yelp exemplifies just that. Two Jack's Nik's (yelp.com/biz/two-jacks-s…) is an unassuming seafood place in the Haight. Because of my yelp calling out their willingness to grill a burger for me, they changed their menu to offer a selection of grilled items. Changed. As in doing business differently because of me. That's awesome. Yelp gives us the forum to make a difference, and earns five well deserved stars for being the ultimate game changer.

HORRIBLE company. Being the Director of Sales and Marketing for a large wedding venue, I have been harassed by one of there sales people every single week for at least 3 months. They have been desperately using every trick in the books to get me to advertise with them. This woman calls almost yelling at me for not calling her back. They have bogus computer generated info about how their company is "creating sales for you" and then they try to strong arm you into buying ad space with them.
Then, after telling us we need to get more reviews on our listing, they REMOVE EVERY SINGLE good review that was posted by our clients. Their algorithm is a TOTAL SCAM. Yelp only cares about the hard core addicted "Elite" yelp members and discredits the people that have anything good to say.
I never leave bad reviews but being in sales and marketing myself, I don't know how these people sleep at night. -

I think Joe Cocker puts it best when he gets by with a little Yelp from his friends...with a little of my artistic Yelp liberty. So this is what 100 reviews feels like. It's the shameless random late night taxi-cab (well, laptop) confessions of all the gluttonous gastro-sensory rantings of such wonderful local pleasantries that are thrown out in the karmic universe for all to witness. And, I expect just the same from my lovely Yelp friends who inspire me to be me.
Yelpers just rock period. I've never seen such a diverse and beautiful community who have bold and subtle points of view. The passion of Yelp and all of its conquerors is quite infectious and I enjoy engaging, promoting, and being of service to the people in my area. Although Naples, Florida is far from our "elite home", we've been able to spread a little love into our community and start forming an active Yelp coalition in Southwest Florida. We're no official CMs but we feel an obligation to share why we invest so much of ourselves into Yelp both with reviewers, review-prospects, and businesses. It truly is a way of life as a husband/wife team, and it's something that we truly enjoy doing together, and I feel like I'm having this verklempt moment. (Talk amongst yourselves. Okay, I'll give youa topic: the industrial revolution was neither industrial nor a revolution. Discuss....)
You've got a Yelp lover out of this girl! I hope that with the more reviews you write, the more genuine experience you'll have....
and with that unique experience, there'll be this snowball effect of everything amazing and new....
so that people and businesses will change the world they live in.
If you haven't drank the Yelp koolaid, you better get some. Just jump on that freaking bandwagon and get to work! We've got businesses to save! -

Yelp, I have emailed your Yelp.com/contact page numerous times in attempt to get my account "unlocked". My small business has relocated, and has a new phone number, and I have heard from no one! I will continue to flood your email everyday, if I have to. There should be no reason, I cannot simply edit my account and update my information. This is not rocket science.
I am always flattered when I see my clients Yelp me well on my behalf, but because I simply do not like Yelp as a company, I refuse to ever Yelp a business even if the service is good or bad, nor will I ever advertise with Yelp.
It is to no surprise Yelp has so many 1 Star Reviews!!

Established in 2004.
After moving back to San Francisco, Russ and Jeremy separately struggled to find great doctors by searching online. They couldn't understand how in the Internet age word-of-mouth recommendations were nowhere to be found. So after putting their heads together they came up with what is now Yelp!
