»World, Membrane and the Dismembered Body« by Seiko Mikami. The project takes place in an anechoic (echo-free) room. In this silence, you first hear the sounds inside of your body (heart and lung sounds), and then their amplified versions from audio speakers. The lag of sounds creates a gap between your mind and body. The sense of body vanishes and the fragmented senses awaken. The sounds are amplified and transformed within this space to introduce a perception-driven architecture.

“Ballonnenveld” by Martijn Tellinga. An installation that displays a sounding and vibrating body of helium-filled balloons. The balloons function as resonance-chambers for a trimmed spectrum of sine-waves that are fed through strings, connecting the balloons with double-coned carspeaker-elements. Each balloon holds its own resonance-frequency that changes over time as a result of varying temperature in the space, amount of helium in the balloon (decreasing over time) and length of the string.

The installation »Holiday On Ice« is based on a classic ice skating rink built inside a penitentiary in Erbach/Germany, in which the inmates were invited to participate in an icehockey tournament. By Gregor Passens.
